We have a number of "Other Charges" that can be applied to tickets, after the fact. These Apex cannot apply/calculate within the software. For these, we use an external program. As these are not standard Apex-applied charges, any process that could cause a ticket to be re-priced/re-calculated, wipes out the price of the charge we injected, thus creating an incorrect ticket. Would be nice to have a flag in the Other Charge tables to indicate whether the other charge was generated by Apex - or not. If not, then any re-price would have no effect on the pricing of such other charges.
