We enforce relatively tight pickup windows, for example an order will only be open between 8 and 12 on a given day. Sometimes if a vehicle arrives near the end of their scheduled pickup window they may not complete loading and be ready to leave until after the orders end date/time. The result is that they cannot complete the ticket.
proposed solution is to add a setting that allows a vehicle in plant to scale out on that order regardless of the orders end date/time.
On the sales order are you checking the box to allow after order Scheduled/Expired Finish? This will allow to ship after the time window and just prompt the scale user to confirm.
