Drivers lose cards (RFID), some states don't have front license plates (LPR), some plants don't have many repeat trucks (Transcore). I've heard a lot of reasons why specific identifications may not work at some plants. However, basically everyone has a mobile device now. Would it make sense to try to incorporate bluetooth into our readers? This would allow building future capabilities into our products. Perhaps you see your assignment in MOBILEticket, and when you are on the scale, you click a button from your tablet to be read wirelessly. Perhaps an app could be developed that your haulers could use on their phone as their identification, instead of an RFID card.
How would you see it work (including the scenarios I've written above, or please provide your own suggestion). How could you see this being useful to you?
