Create a drop down for Inside or Outside printer (outside uses normal, left off the screen if not needed – inside uses ‘inside printer’) on the ticketing screen, it would reduce the need for adding multiple scale records to control printing inside/outside.
We are looking to consolidate a lot of these records, this appears to be an older one. I'd like to see more comments on it in terms of what would work or not.
Today, the typical solution is to create a duplicate scale in Apex. For one physical scale, scale 1 could be inside printer and 2 could be outside printer.
In addition, the operator could use File>Print Setup to change the printer.
There may be more options depending on specific need. For instance, we can print cash tickets to a specific printer, so all cash tickets could print inside if that's what you needed, etc.
