From our Sales Users in Apex 6: Job Sales Stage works fine when going from Pending to Quoted. The problem is when Won and Loss stages automatically change. There are too many variables to determine Won/ Loss stages automatically. For Example, if we quote a landscaper, pave, grader and sewer contractor on the same job. The landscaper was quoted one load of Rip Rap while the grader was quoted 100,000 tons of base. If we create an order for the landscaper, but don't know about the grader yet, the job still gets marked as "Won" even though the vast majority of the tons are still "quoted stage".It gets complicated, if we win two customer segments and lose the other two. The user has to make individual determinations on whether or not a job is considered won or lost.
Furthermore, if we have a job marked "Won" for 6 months because we know we are supplying the majority of the work, and then receive a small quote request for incidental tons, the entire job goes back to "Quoted."
These things make managing the Won loss Stage on a job impossible to manage accurately. If this was manual, we could determine the job stage easier.
