Yes - that is an option. Such would require our credit folks to continually monitor all our customers and adjust the messages accordingly - which could be somewhat involved with some 20K+ customers. All our master data is set up and maintained in our ERP system, As changes are made there, the changes are then passed over to Apex (And Command Series). We have a credit message code on our ERP customer record - which is passed into Apex as the credit message. So, as we need to change the credit message, we only have to do it one time - on the ERP system - and not have to worry about making equivalent changes across multiple applications.
We recently had a customer who had a credit message indicating we require cash in advance. Unfortunately sales/dispatch were not aware of this requirement. The credit message is only designed to show at time of ticketing. If we require cash in advance, and nobody knows it until the truck is loaded and sitting on the scale, this could put the weighmaster in a vert awkward position - especially if we are delivering the load to the customer.

Have you tried Message to Weighmaster (yellow triangle in Customers and a few other windows)? This might do what you want today.
